These classes are geared for those seriously interested in entering the professional world of the actor. If that is you and your child, you don’t want to miss out!

On-Camera Acting For Kids and Teens

Saturdays, April 14th - May 26th

8-12 Years Old
Saturdays, 8:30am - 10:30am
7 Weeks
13-17 Years Old
Saturdays, 10:45am - 12:45pm
7 weeks

This class is designed to introduce young actors to the acting skills required to create a professional-grade performance on camera, including but not limited to:

—The concept of slating, and creating a slate video

—Cold reading for TV, commercial and film scripts

—Interacting in a scene with another actor

—Developing an Audition Monologue

—The dos and don'ts of auditioning

Using theater exercises, scene work, and monologues, students learn to
develop characters, improve focus, and gain performance and audition skills on camera. Denise will introduce students to the new possibilities of using their own imagination to create and perform an original play. This class will focus on collaboration, storytelling and still have all the creative fun!

Students in this class can expect to receive feedback regarding the development of their on camera skills on a weekly basis.

All in all, we are moving your child into the level of "Professional actor."

Parents will have the option of purchasing a demo reel of their children, featuring clips from monologues and scenes they have performed in class, or brand new scenes shot outside of class. This reel can also include a slate video, which is often the first thing an agent wants to see when considering a new client.

If your child has never taken an acting class before, this class is a great introduction to the world of the performing arts.  Or, if your child has already had some training, this class is still an exciting opportunity to continue growing their skills!
