Youth Workshops at The Chicago Actors Studio: Unlock Your Child's Potential!

Whether your child has never taken an acting class before, or they have recently begun their training, our youth workshops are the perfect platform for new students or those seeking to continue growing their skills in the world of performing arts!

These are the most crucial developmental ages for our young actors and Chicago Actors Studio classes will not only prepare your kids for film, television, theater, and more; they will also develop their social skills, public speaking abilities, and strengthen their cognitive processes.

Parents are encouraged to come by, especially on the first Day of class for a meet and greet with our new teacher for these two classes, Aycil Yeltan. She is an accomplished musician, screenwriter, prolific actress, film director and producer. After earning her degrees in Music and Theatre. From Ankara and Istanbul State Conservatories, she had recorded with many distinguished musicians around the globe. She earned her MFA at CalArts in acting with a scholarship and appeared in numerous stage, film and TV productions in Istanbul, New York and Los Angeles She had worked in a production with the famous director, Iiker Catak, who was a nominee for the Academy short-listed Best Foreign Film with his film “Teachers’ Lounge”. Her second short film “Topanga” won 6 awards in global film competitions and film festivals, including 2 Audience Awards for Best Short Film between 2019 and 2020. Yeltan’s new feature film project “Aidan” has been granted “First Feature Film Support” by the Ministry of Culture, Turkey, a film score award at Fest Pitching Forum in Portugal, and a prize for post-production in work in progress program at Med Film Festival in Rome.

She has headed her own production company that has produced unique and exciting short films with a flair for aesthetics and passion. As trained and talented she it, it's no wonder her films have been shown and nominated for numerous awards in festivals around the world. We're certain, after you meet Aycil you'll absolutely not only fall in love with her warm personality and giving nature but also agree with us that the combination of her professional training at CalArts, her extensive experience in the industry, her in depth experience with teaching adults and children alike, leaves her uniquely qualified and no surprise that we would welcome her to join our staff here at The Chicago Actors Studio.
